Planning with Graves
Credentials and Warranty Information
Understand which documents and responsible parties apply to your remodeling project. Discuss qualification records, insurance and the actual written warranty terms directly with Graves before relying on a particular coverage claim.
Discuss documentation for the business doing your work
Before agreeing to a remodeling project, ask Graves which legal contracting entity and responsible parties will be named in the agreement. Use that identity when discussing the qualification and insurance documents relevant to the actual work.
License numbers and private policy details are not displayed on this page. For project-specific questions, call (703) 660-4554 to discuss the appropriate documentation and communication route. Do not post private policy documents or personal information in a public message.
A website badge, directory entry or customer review is not a substitute for current documentation. Virginia's official license lookup provides the state verification route. Confirm the exact entity and applicable record rather than assuming a similarly named business holds the same qualifications.
Read coverage in the applicable documents
Ask what insurance documentation is relevant to your proposed project and who can explain it. Keep questions about the insured entity, current period and applicable work connected to the actual document. This page does not state a policy limit or describe private coverage terms.
Contractor licensing, insurance, manufacturer training and product certifications address different questions. Ask for the relevant documentation instead of treating one record as proof of all the others.
Separate workmanship and product warranties
Read the warranty terms supplied with the applicable agreement and products. A workmanship obligation and a manufacturer's product warranty may have different responsible parties, conditions and claim routes. Do not assume a product warranty covers installation or that every supplied item has the same coverage.
Before relying on a particular warranty, confirm these points in the actual written terms:
- The responsible business or manufacturer and the work or product covered.
- The coverage period and event that starts it.
- Exclusions, limitations and required maintenance.
- How to report a concern and what information is needed.
- How owner-supplied items and separately appointed providers are handled.
No universal or lifetime coverage promise is made here. Project-specific written terms should answer these questions before you assume that a particular repair, replacement or later adjustment is included.
Keep care and closeout information accessible
Ask which care instructions, operating information, product records and closeout documents apply to the agreed work, and how they will be provided. Keep model information and maintenance instructions with your project records so later questions can be directed to the correct party.
Use the care guidance for the actual installed product, not an unrelated material or another customer's project. Confirm any maintenance required by the applicable warranty. For a concern after work, explain the affected item and contact the responsible party through the route identified in the agreement.
Ask about your project's responsibilities
Call Graves to discuss the proposed scope, contracting identity, documentation and next step. The About page introduces the business, while the kitchen and bathroom planning pages can help frame service questions.
Have your questions ready without sending sensitive documents through an unconfirmed channel. The phone consultation and direct-call options below provide a starting point.
